About Us

hayling island alpacas

The Nursery School is housed in a self- contained ground floor premises adapted for the sole use of the group.

The nursery is divided in two, with one end dedicated to toddlers and under 2-year old’s and the larger end of the building arranged for 3 /4 year old’s. Both ends of the building have an outside area, craft/messy play area and an area for imaginative role play.

Disabilities and special requirements are embraced. We adapt the nursery environment to suit individual needs, we are an inclusive practice. The SEN Code of Practice guidelines published by Hampshire County Council are followed.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework. All staff are first aid trained.

Children enjoy playing in the secure garden and playground daily, whatever the weather.

We a really lucky with the location of the nursery as it enables us to walk to the Hayling Billy track to enjoy bear hunts in the woods and discover the coast line.  And we often take the children round to the neighbouring alpacas to feed.

We are able walk to many local parks in the area.

Child sized toilets and heat regulated taps encourage independent personal care.

There is a sleep room with suitable cots for children who require a nap during the day.

A healthy snack including fruit or vegetable and a biscuit is provided at each session.

Parents are welcomed into the setting where they receive friendly support ensuring their children are given the best start to their education.

We keep in touch with parents using Whatsapp and send photos of your children during their day with us.
